Human Rights Policy

At Rolco – Bianil, a core principle of our operations is the respect for human rights. We are committed to ensuring that our people are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

Rolco – Bianil’s Human Rights Policy is based on the principles enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the UN Global Compact, and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

This Policy applies to Rolco – Bianil, all group-owned companies, and the facilities managed by the company. We are committed to upholding the principles outlined herein.

1. Social Impact and Assessment

Objective:
To ensure that the company’s presence and participation in the communities in which it operates are positive and beneficial.

Requirements:

  • We recognize our influence as a long-standing organization in the Greek business sector and are committed to ensuring that all communication and participation in social activities is guided by a respect for human rights.

2. Recruitment, Promotion, Termination of Employment & Retirement

Objective
To prevent discrimination and eliminate child labor and forced labor.

Requirements:

  • Rolco – Bianil does not tolerate discrimination based on race, ethnicity or identity, color, sex, gender, religion, political beliefs, union membership, sexual orientation, social origin, or age.
  • All employment-related decisions, including hiring, employment, training, compensation, and promotion, are based on professional qualifications, collaboration, performance, skills, and experience.
  • Employment relationships are freely chosen, and we do not tolerate forced labor of any kind.
  • We fully comply with legal regulations regarding minimum working age and do not employ individuals under the age of 18.

3. Working Hours, Wages & Labor Rights

Objective
To safeguard employees’ rights in relation to fair compensation and working hours.

Requirements:

  • At Rolco – Bianil, we respect human rights and are committed to identifying and preventing any adverse human rights impacts arising from our business activities, through due diligence and compliance processes.
  • We strictly adhere to applicable labor laws regarding wages, working hours, overtime, and benefits.

4. Employee Rights

Objective
To protect employee rights and support freedom of association.

Requirements

  • Rolco – Bianil respects the right of employees to freely associate or not, and to form labor unions without fear of retaliation or harassment. Where employees are represented by a legally recognized union, we engage in constructive dialogue with their freely chosen representatives.
  • We provide a safe and healthy work environment, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal health and safety standards. We focus on maintaining a productive workplace, minimizing the risk of accidents, injuries, or health hazards, and ensuring timely resolution of any safety or health-related issues.
  • We strive to maintain a workplace free from violence, harassment, bullying, and any internal or external threats. We ensure security and confidentiality for our employees as needed, while respecting their privacy and dignity.

5. Prevention of Conflicts of Interest and Corruption

Objective
To promote harmonious workplace relations and prevent conflicts of interest and corruption.

  • If you believe there is a conflict between this policy and the laws, customs, or practices of your workplace, or if you have any questions or wish to report a potential violation, you may raise your concerns through established procedures designed to ensure strict confidentiality. Rolco – Bianil is committed to investigating and addressing employee concerns and to taking corrective action in response to any violations of this policy.
