Policy on the Prevention and Combating of Violence and Harassment at Work
INTRODUCTION
The company “ROLCO – VIANIL S.A. DETERGENT AND SOAP INDUSTRY”, operating under the trade
name “ROLCO S.A.”, with registered offices in the Municipality of Nikaia-Rentis, Attica (111 Agias Annis
Street), Tax Identification Number (TIN) 094001893, GECR No. 251101000, telephone number +30
2103493000 and email address info@rolco.gr, complies with all measures and obligations concerning the
implementation of the provisions of Part II of Law 4808/2021 for the prevention and handling of all forms
of violence and harassment, including gender-based violence and harassment and sexual harassment.
PURPOSE OF THIS POLICY
The purpose of this policy is to establish a coherent and modern framework for the prevention, handling
and combating of forms of violent and harassing behavior, thereby contributing to the creation of a
working environment that respects, promotes and safeguards every person’s right to a workplace free
from violence and harassment.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
Α. PREVENTION AND HANDLING OF VIOLENCE AND HARASSMENT
The Company:
a) assesses the risks of violence and harassment at work,
b) takes measures to prevent, control, limit and address such risks, as well as to monitor such incidents
or forms of behaviour,
c) undertakes actions to inform and raise awareness among personnel,
d) provides information regarding the rights and obligations of employees and the employer, as well as
of persons exercising managerial authority or representing the employer, to the extent and degree of
their respective responsibility, in the event of the occurrence, reporting or filing of a complaint concerning
such incidents, as well as information regarding the relevant procedure,
e) appoints Ms. Maro Souroulidi as the Contact Person (“liaison”), responsible for guiding and informing
employees on the prevention and handling of violence and harassment at work, whom employees may
contact regarding such matters (telephone +30 2103493000 and email address csr@rolco.gr). The role
of the Contact Person is informational and consists of guiding and informing employees, regardless of
whether they contact her in connection with an incident or a complaint concerning violence and
harassment. The Contact Person protects any personal data that may come to her knowledge in the
performance of her role.
f) guarantees, to the extent possible, the protection of employment and support of employees who are
victims of domestic violence, through any appropriate means or reasonable accommodation.
Within this framework, the Company ensures:
a) the investigation and examination of complaints impartially, while safeguarding confidentiality and the
personal data of both victims and the persons against whom complaints are made,
b) the prohibition of retaliation and further victimisation of the affected person,
c) a description of the consequences where violations are established,
d) cooperation with and provision of any relevant information to the competent authorities, if requested.
Β. PROCEDURE FOR RECEIVING AND INVESTIGATING COMPLAINTS
- The Company guarantees safe and easily accessible channels of communication for receiving and
investigating complaints and for informing complainants, and facilitates the relevant procedures.
Every employee affected by an incident of violence or harassment against them, even if the
relationship within the context of which the incident or behaviour allegedly occurred has ended, has
the right, in addition to seeking judicial protection, to refer the matter to the Labour Inspectorate
through the citizen service hotline 1555 (email: helpdesk@sepenet.gr), to the Greek Ombudsman
(Tel.: +30 2131306600, email: press@sinigoros.gr) as the body responsible for promoting and
monitoring the principle of equal treatment, in accordance with Law 3896/2010 (Government Gazette
A’ 207) and Law 4443/2016 (Government Gazette A’ 232), to contact the SOS Helpline 15900 for
immediate psychological support and counselling for women who are victims of gender-based
violence, and to submit a complaint within the Company. - The receipt, investigation and handling of complaints shall be carried out promptly and impartially, in
a manner that respects human dignity and ensures the protection of confidentiality and of the
personal data of both victims and the persons against whom complaints are made, collected in the
performance of the aforementioned duties. - The Company undertakes to comply with the obligation to prohibit retaliation, in accordance with
Article 13 of Law 4808/2021 and the provisions of labour legislation. - In the event a violation is established, the company takes the necessary, appropriate and proportionate
measures, as the case may be, against the person against whom the complaint was filed, in order to
prevent and avoid the repetition of a similar incident or behavior. Such measures include, indicatively,
a formal notice to comply, a change of position, a change of working hours, a change in the place or
manner of providing work, or termination of the employment or collaboration relationship, subject to
the prohibition of abuse of right under Article 281 of the Greek Civil Code. - The company and every person responsible for receiving and handling complaints undertake to provide
their cooperation and assistance, and any relevant information, to the competent public,
administrative and judicial authorities, should it be requested of them, which they keep in a relevant
file in compliance with the provisions of Law 4624/2019.
